SE Ranking pricing: the plans, the trial and what you actually pay

SE Ranking pricing, the short answer: its FAQ lists Core at $129 a month ($103.20 billed annually) and Growth at $279 a month ($223.20 billed annually); Enterprise is custom-priced. Read from France, the pricing page shows euros instead: €109 and €235 a month. There is no permanent free plan, only a 14-day trial with no card, and payments are non-refundable. Facts read on 29 October 2026.

This page is part of the guide: SE Ranking alternative

Verdict

SE Ranking sells a complete SEO platform from $103.20 a month billed annually, or $129 month to month, according to its FAQ. The price makes sense if you track several sites every day: 10 projects and 2,000 keywords a day from Core. For a single site, you pay for capacity you won't use. Use the 14-day trial with no card to check, because payments are non-refundable.

SE Ranking pricing looks simple at first: two plans with a price, one on quote. Then you notice the currency changes from page to page, the yearly plan is paid up front, and several useful features cost extra. This page puts it all in one place, from SE Ranking’s own pages read on 29 October 2026.

One thing to know up front: we didn’t test SE Ranking. Everything below comes from its pricing page, FAQ, help center and terms. Where its pages disagree, we say so.

SE Ranking pricing plans as of 29 October 2026

SE Ranking sells three plans. Its FAQ gives the prices in US dollars: “Core is $129/mo monthly ($103.20/mo billed annually), and Growth is $279/mo monthly ($223.20/mo annually); Enterprise is custom-priced for larger teams.”

Read from France, the English pricing page shows euros instead:

Plan Monthly (FAQ, USD) Yearly, per month (FAQ, USD) Monthly (pricing page from France, EUR) Yearly, per month (EUR)
Core $129 $103.20 €109 €87.20
Growth $279 $223.20 €235 €188
Enterprise On quote On quote On quote On quote

Data missing: the pricing page as a visitor in the United States sees it (planned source: the pricing page read from the United States before publication). The FAQ’s dollar prices are the only official US figures we read.

SE Ranking pricing page read from France with the Core and Growth plans in euros

SE Ranking’s pricing page as read from France, annual tab: Core at €87.20 a month (€109 struck through), Growth at €188 (€235), each with a 14-day trial and no credit card. Source: seranking.com/subscription.html, captured 30 October 2026.

Core, Growth and Enterprise: what each plan counts

Each plan comes with a tagline that says who it’s for:

  • Core: “For teams with focused SEO work and repeatable delivery”;
  • Growth: “For teams scaling SEO delivery, automation & collaboration”;
  • Enterprise: “A custom SEO setup for large teams and complex projects”, with “Flexible terms” and “Custom limits and pricing”.

Notice the word “teams” in all three. SE Ranking says it’s “built for agencies and in-house marketing teams” (FAQ). That’s not a criticism: it tells you how the plans are sized.

Projects, keywords tracked daily, API credits and AI prompts

Here are the limits we read on the pricing page:

Limit Core Growth
Projects (sites tracked) 10 30
Manager seats 1 3
Keywords tracked daily 2,000 5,000
AI prompts tracked daily 100 250
Audit pages per month 250,000 2 million
API credits per month, with MCP access 25,000 100,000
Report Builder reports 10 30
Data history 6 months The project’s whole life

Both plans also include AI visibility tracking (25 prompts a day across 5 AI engines), local marketing (3 locations, 1,500 local keywords, 100+ directories) and native GA4, Search Console and Looker Studio connectors. Growth adds guest links, page change tracking, a dedicated support contact and onboarding.

A few terms, in plain words. A project is one website you track. A seat is one person on your team who logs in. API credits pay for pulling SE Ranking’s data into other tools, including AI assistants through its MCP server. AI prompts are questions SE Ranking asks AI engines every day to see whether your brand shows up in the answers.

One inconsistency: the pricing page gives Growth “100K API credits & MCP access”, while the home page says “API access with 300k credits”. Trust what your checkout page shows.

Monthly billing, or a year paid up front

“Annual billing saves 20% versus paying monthly”, says the FAQ, and “Annual plans are billed upfront by default.” The page doesn’t show the yearly total, so we did the maths: $103.20 × 12 = $1,238.40 a year for Core, and $223.20 × 12 = $2,678.40 for Growth, at the FAQ’s dollar prices. In euros, from France: €1,046.40 and €2,256. The pricing page also mentions free migration with an annual subscription.

SE Ranking FAQ page in English with its answers on pricing and the trial

SE Ranking’s FAQ: “What agencies and mid-market teams ask before switching to SE Ranking”. Its pricing answers, further down the page, are given in US dollars. Source: seranking.com/faq.html, captured 30 October 2026 from France.

One more inconsistency: a help center article says “All our current plans, Core and Growth, are billed on a monthly basis”, while the pricing page clearly offers yearly billing. Go by the pricing page on the day you pay.

What costs extra at SE Ranking

The plan price isn’t always the final price. Here’s what SE Ranking sells on top, from its pricing page and FAQ.

The Agency Pack: white label, billed yearly only

The Agency Pack adds white-label branding for the platform and reports, client seats, unlimited scheduled reports with AI summaries, a listing in SE Ranking’s Agency Catalogue, and a Lead Generator. It’s “Annual billing only”.

Its price depends on where you read it:

  • the FAQ says “Agency Pack from $69/mo with annual billing”;
  • the pricing page, read from France, shows €59 a month for 30 projects, €85 for 50 and €109 for 100;
  • the Agency Pack page says “Starting at $69/per month billed annually” and lists 10 client seats, where the pricing page and FAQ say 30.

If you run an agency, ask SE Ranking to confirm the seat count in writing before you buy.

API credits, extra seats and SE Visible prompts

Other add-ons we read, with prices from the pricing page as seen from France (euros), unless noted:

  • Extra manager seat: from €14.40 (the FAQ says “from $16/mo”);
  • API module added to a plan: €25 a month for 150,000 credits month to month, or €39 a month billed yearly;
  • API Wallet, without a subscription: €45 for 250,000 credits that don’t expire;
  • More AI visibility with SE Visible: from €63.20 a month for 200 prompts, up to €239.20 for 1,000;
  • Extra keywords, articles and local locations: from €20.80, €39.20 and €16.80 (unit not stated on the page).

Some smaller tools, like the Keyword Grouper and the Search Volume Checker, are paid from an account balance, according to the help center. We didn’t read their rates (data missing: account-balance tool prices; planned source: SE Ranking help center).

The API pages also disagree with each other: “API from $45/mo” in the FAQ, “API From €125.00/mo” on the home page, €25 or €39 on the pricing page. They may describe different products; the pages don’t say.

VAT for buyers in the European Union

For US readers, this one doesn’t apply: “VAT is charged for users from European Union countries and the UK” (help center). Payment goes through Stripe only (cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Link and, depending on the country, bank transfers); PayPal isn’t accepted.

The SE Ranking free trial: no card needed

“There’s no permanent free plan, but you can evaluate the platform with a free 14-day trial (no card required)”, says the FAQ. You don’t type a card number to start, so you won’t be charged by surprise when it ends.

What the trial includes, and when its credits expire

SE Ranking’s pages don’t describe the trial the same way:

  • the pricing page FAQ says up to 10 projects, 750 keywords tracked a day, 20 AI prompts a day and AI competitor research on 3 domains;
  • the general FAQ says 10 projects, 3 manager seats, 750 keywords a day, competitive, keyword and backlink research, site audit, full API with 100,000 credits, GA4, Search Console and Looker integrations, and the Agency Pack open.

Either way, it’s generous. One detail: trial credits expire at the end of the 14 days (API pricing page FAQ). Use them while you have them.

Payments are non-refundable: read this before you pay

This is the line to read twice: “Payments are non-refundable, except in cases where the service wasn’t delivered as promised (or where a special promotion specifies otherwise).” The terms add that in that case, SE Ranking “may refund the funds paid by Customer within 14 bank days”.

So test everything during the trial. If you pay for a year up front and change your mind in month two, don’t count on getting the rest back.

What SE Ranking does, from the documentation

What do you get for the price? Here’s what the official pages describe. Again, we didn’t test it.

SE Ranking rank tracking and site audits

This is where SE Ranking shines. Its Rank Tracker promises to “Monitor daily website positions across the top 100 results on Google, Bing, and YouTube on desktop and mobile”, with Yahoo also listed, plus your positions in AI Overviews and ChatGPT. Core tracks 2,000 keywords a day.

The Website Audit crawls your site and checks indexing, speed, metadata and internal links, with JavaScript rendering as an option. It ranks issues by severity and compares crawls over time. Its SEO Task Manager turns findings into a task list sorted by priority: “Stop wasting time creating an action plan from scratch. Let our tool do it for you!”

SE Ranking keyword research and competitor analysis

Keyword research covers 188 country databases, by country and region but not by city (FAQ). The data page claims 5.5 billion keywords; the FAQ on the same page says 5.4 billion. Searches are “Unlimited” in the plans.

Competitive Research shows a rival’s organic and paid keywords, estimated traffic and visibility trends. SE Ranking is open about one weakness: on search volumes, “SE Ranking’s figures currently trail both competitors”, meaning Semrush and Ahrefs. Its volumes are built from Google Keyword Planner and Google Trends, refined by its own algorithms (FAQ).

The backlink index claims “2.7T backlinks across 420M indexed domains, with 6B pages crawled daily”. You get a Backlink Checker, Backlink Monitoring with imports from Search Console, and a Backlink Gap Analyzer.

For AI search, Core and Growth include “AI Visibility tracking, 25 prompts daily, 5 AI engines”. SE Visible, the sister product, tracks mentions, citations, sentiment and share of voice. The pages disagree on the engines: the data page names five (ChatGPT, Google AI Overview, Google AI Mode, Perplexity, Gemini), a help center FAQ names four, without Perplexity.

There’s no chat window built into the platform, according to the pages we read. To ask questions in plain English, you connect an outside assistant such as Claude or ChatGPT to SE Ranking’s official MCP server, which uses your API credits. The only built-in “Ask AI” sits in the AI Writer, for writing, and “The tool’s current functionality is limited to the English language”.

Content writing, integrations and languages

The Content Editor builds a brief from the search results and competitors, scores your text in real time, and includes the AI Writer to draft or rewrite. Core includes 25 articles a month, Growth 50. You can export articles straight to WordPress, and a Google Docs add-on exists. The Content Editor “only fully supports the following languages: English, French, German, Dutch (NLP is not supported), Italian, Russian, Portuguese, and Spanish” (help center).

On integrations, GA4, Search Console and Looker Studio are on every plan, and SE Ranking also lists Google Ads, Matomo, Zapier, Make.com, n8n and Google Business Profile. Two gaps: “SE Ranking doesn’t have its own Chrome extension” (FAQ), and Slack goes through Make.com or Appy Pie rather than a direct connector.

Free tools on the SE Ranking website

Before you start any trial, you can “use several free tools on the website without an account” (FAQ): CMS Checker, Website Authority Checker, Word Counter, Keyword Density, title and meta description generators, robots.txt tester, Redirect Checker, Speed Checker and Mobile-Friendly Test. There are also free daily checks with the Google Rank Checker, Website Traffic Checker and Keyword Research, and 5 free AI visibility checks a day.

Which SE Ranking plan fits a small site, a store or an agency

  • An agency or a marketing team: Core if you follow up to 10 sites with one manager; Growth if you need 3 seats, lifetime history or guest links for clients. Add the Agency Pack for white label, billed yearly.
  • An online store: Core covers one store with room to spare: 2,000 keywords tracked daily is plenty for most catalogues, and the audit handles 250,000 pages a month.
  • A small business site: Core is the only entry point, at $129 a month or $103.20 billed annually. You get 10 projects, and you’ll use one.

What does that look like as a yearly bill? Using the FAQ’s dollar prices, billed annually (our maths, before any tax):

Profile Plan and add-ons Per month Per year, paid up front
One site or one store Core $103.20 $1,238.40
Small agency with white label Core + Agency Pack (from $69) From $172.20 From $2,066.40
Team of three Growth $223.20 $2,678.40

Month to month, Core alone is $129, or $1,548 over twelve months: the yearly plan saves $309.60, if you’re sure you’ll keep it.

That first row is the real question on this page.

Is SE Ranking worth it for a small business?

It depends less on the tool than on you. If you’ll open it every week, read the dashboards and act on them, Core gives a lot for the price. If you want to know what to fix this month and get on with your work, you’ll pay for capacity you won’t use.

What SE Ranking reviews say, and what we could verify

We didn’t collect ratings from review sites (data missing: G2 and Capterra ratings; planned source: the review pages read before publication). What we could verify is what SE Ranking says about itself: “Trusted by 40,000+ agencies” on its home page, and “more than a million businesses, agencies, and SEO experts worldwide” on its About page. It has been around since 2013 and is sold by SER Acquisition Inc., a Delaware company, under California law.

SE Ranking’s learning curve for a non-technical owner

To be fair, SE Ranking thinks about small businesses. A dedicated page promises “easy-to-use SEO tools” with “no technical experience needed”.

SE Ranking page for small businesses saying no technical experience is needed

Still, the platform is a set of dashboards: projects, reports, settings, more than 30 tools. You learn where each one lives. The SEO Task Manager helps by turning audits into a to-do list, which is a real plus for a beginner. Whether that’s “easy” depends on how much time you’re willing to spend.

How to keep your SE Ranking bill down

A few habits, all based on SE Ranking’s own rules:

  1. Start with the free tools. If you only need a speed test or a redirect check, you don’t need a plan at all.
  2. Use the whole trial. Fourteen days, no card, up to 10 projects. Run a full audit, set up rank tracking, and see whether you open it twice.
  3. Pay monthly first. The yearly plan saves 20%, but it’s paid up front and non-refundable. Go yearly only once you know you’ll keep the tool; SE Ranking’s pages don’t explain how a switch mid-subscription works.
  4. Skip the Agency Pack unless you have clients. It’s billed yearly only, and white label is useless for your own site.
  5. Check the currency at checkout. Its pages show euros or dollars depending on the page and where you read it from. Your checkout page is the price you pay.
  6. European business? You can enter your EU VAT number at checkout, according to the help center.

SE Ranking vs Semrush and Ahrefs: how the plans compare

At the entry level, here’s what each tool’s official pages said on 29 October 2026:

Entry plan Monthly price Free option
SE Ranking Core $129 (FAQ); €109 read from France No permanent free plan; 14-day trial, no card
Semrush SEO plan $139.95 (pricing page code); €134 read from France Free plan: 1 demo project, 10 reports a day
Ahrefs Starter $29 (FAQ); €27 read from France Free for your own verified sites

These plans don’t do the same work. Ahrefs Starter is a light entry; its built-in Ask Ahrefs assistant starts with Lite at €119 a month, and its rank tracking updates weekly. Semrush tracks rankings daily from its SEO plan. SE Ranking gives the most tracking per dollar at entry: 2,000 keywords a day on Core. We tested none of the three.

Alternatives to SE Ranking, and what SemChat costs

If SE Ranking is more platform than you need, SemChat takes the opposite approach: you chat with your data instead of reading dashboards. “Every feature, in every plan. Just pick your monthly usage.”

SemChat pricing page with the Free plan and the paid plans in euros

SemChat plan Monthly Billed yearly, per month
Free €0 €0
Starter €20 €16 (€192 a year)
Pro 5x €100 €80
Pro 20x €200 €160

European buyers pay VAT on top. SemChat has the same publisher as Haloscan, ARCHI301 in Nice, France; outside France, its data comes from providers it doesn’t name.

The honest limit: in our test on 29 October 2026, one full audit used 100% of the Free plan’s monthly quota.

SemChat review: what a real audit looked like

We typed one sentence asking for a full SEO audit of one of our sites. About 3 minutes later, SemChat returned a plan by priority:

Priority action plan returned by SemChat after an audit started with one sentence

The priority action plan SemChat returned after a single sentence: three actions for the week (French interface). Source: real test on app.semchat.io, 29 October 2026.

It correctly flagged a contact page returning a 404 error, which we checked, and it overstated an issue with multilingual titles. The full story is in our SemChat review. To sum up SE Ranking pricing: $129 a month or $103.20 billed annually for Core, a 14-day trial with no card, add-ons on top, and no refunds, so decide during the trial.

Frequently asked questions

Is there a free version of SE Ranking?

No. Its FAQ says so plainly: "There's no permanent free plan, but you can evaluate the platform with a free 14-day trial (no card required) and use several free tools on the website without an account." The free tools include a Speed Checker, a Mobile-Friendly Test, a Redirect Checker and title and meta description generators (29 October 2026).

Is SE Ranking better value than Semrush?

At the entry level, it's cheaper. SE Ranking's FAQ lists Core at $129 a month; Semrush's pricing page code lists its SEO plan at $139.95 a month. Read from France, the gap is wider: €109 against €134. Both sell add-ons on top, so compare the total of what you actually need, not the headline price. We tested neither tool.

Is SE Ranking's keyword research good enough for a small site?

For most small sites, yes: 188 country databases, research by country and region (not by city), and unlimited searches in the plans. One caveat from its own FAQ: on search volumes, "SE Ranking's figures currently trail both competitors", meaning Semrush and Ahrefs.

Can you check your website ranking for free?

Yes. SE Ranking offers free daily checks with its Google Rank Checker, without a subscription (FAQ, 29 October 2026). Google Search Console, Google's own free tool, shows the queries your site already appears for. SemChat's Free plan can also read your Search Console data in a chat, though it doesn't document rank tracking.

Can you get a refund from SE Ranking?

Usually not. "Payments are non-refundable, except in cases where the service wasn't delivered as promised (or where a special promotion specifies otherwise)" (FAQ of the pricing page). Decide during the 14-day trial, before you pay.
